Depending on where you live in the country, Marco’s Pizza might not be a household name — yet. But those who know us love us, further cementing our position as one of the top pizza franchises in the nation.
A recent Harris Poll showed consumers love Marco’s more than any other pizza chain in the U.S. In fact, Marco’s Pizza has been named the Pizza Chain Brand of the Year. In addition, we were also named Most Loved and Most Trusted Pizza Chain Brand by consumers, according to the 2019 Harris Poll EquiTrend® Study. Our brand equity scored higher than all other pizza chain brands including Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Little Caesars and Papa John’s.
“We are very proud of this achievement,” says President & COO Tony Libardi. “It is all due to our franchisees’ pursuit of operational excellence, hospitality always and, of course, our investment in building our brand awareness so more people know about our great pizza.”
Recognition on the upswing
Harris has seen a 10% increase since 2018 in Marco’s brand equity — a combination of trust, love and familiarity.
An article in 24/7 Wall St. states, “Harris, the polling company, asked over 45,000 people about almost 2,000 brands that were sorted among 196 categories. Ninety-one companies were awarded Best Brand of the Year. The Harris Poll CEO, John Gerzema, said: ‘These are brands Americans especially love and expect great things from in the future.’ Marco’s Pizza won the pizza brand crown.”
We were also recently recognized for our outstanding customer service, being named among Newsweek magazine’s 2019 America’s Best Customer Service Awards. And our first national TV ad campaign, which launched in the first half of 2019, is doing more to shine the spotlight on Marco’s tradition of excellence.
Our franchisees are positioned to win
Marco’s has always had exacting standards regarding our food and customer service, and franchisees who follow our proven business model have been very happy with their results. Marco’s is one of the fastest growing pizza franchises, with over 900 stores in 35 states. We anticipate reaching the 1,000-store mark this year. We’ve experienced same-store sales increases almost every quarter since 2004.
