Marco's Pizza franchise owner picks Spotsylvania as the first location for 25 stores that he plans to open in the metro Washington area Date published: 9/12/2008

IT'S FRIDAY, a time to kick back after work and maybe pick up a pizza for dinner.

If you live close to Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania County, two James Madison University grads are going to make the last bit a little easier.

Robert Swarts, a 25-year veteran of restaurant operations and franchise relations for such companies as Applebee's, Starbucks and Domino's Pizza, plans to open a Marco's Pizza franchise at 10908 Courthouse Road later this year.

Marco’s Taps Into Old-World Italian Roots With Pepperoni Magnifico Pizza

TOLEDO, OHIO – Aug. 29, 2008 – In September, Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC) will celebrate 30 years of authentic Italian pizza-making by introducing Pepperoni Magnifico pizza to its menu. The new, limited-time offer combines old-world pepperonis with Marco’s classic pepperonis and is available on Crispy Thin or Classic crust, and Deep Pan crust in select Michigan area stores.

TOLEDO, OHIO – August 13, 2008 – Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC) announced the launch of its online ordering system today. Hungry customers can now place orders on Marco’s Web site, www.marcos.com, for pick up and delivery.

Marco’s online ordering system offers fast, secure online payment and sends a confirmation e-mail when an order is processed. Customers can view Marco’s menu and prices online, specify a pick up or delivery time and join Marco’s E-mail Club to receive special offers and e-coupons. They can also set “favorite orders” for easy repeat ordering.

Marco’s Pizza Awards Manager And Vendor Of The Year

Robert Falk of Perrysburg, Ohio, store and Vancouver’s Neil Jones Food Co. Recognized

TOLEDO, OHIO – July 31, 2008 – Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC) presented awards for Manager of the Year and Vendor of the Year at its 30th annual franchise conference in June. Manager of the Year is Robert T. (Bob) Falk of Toledo, Ohio, who supervises the top-selling Marco’s store in the country. The Neil Jones Food Co. (Neil Jones), Marco’s tomato sauce provider, was named Vendor of the Year. Neil Jones, based in Vancouver, Wash., locked in Marco’s truckload and transportation prices despite rising fuel costs.
