Marco’s Taps Into Old-World Italian Roots With Pepperoni Magnifico Pizza

TOLEDO, OHIO – Aug. 29, 2008 – In September, Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC) will celebrate 30 years of authentic Italian pizza-making by introducing Pepperoni Magnifico pizza to its menu. The new, limited-time offer combines old-world pepperonis with Marco’s classic pepperonis and is available on Crispy Thin or Classic crust, and Deep Pan crust in select Michigan area stores.

“This variation of pepperoni really is different from the kind people are used to,” said Jack Butorac, CEO of Marco’s Pizza. “Our old-world pepperonis are smaller, with crispy, thick flavor, and they cup as the edges cook.”

Pepperoni Magnifico will also feature Marco’s traditional Italian ingredients: dough made fresh in stores daily, a blend of three fresh cheeses (never frozen) and a proprietary sauce recipe.

“Pepperoni is America’s favorite pizza topping,” said Butorac. “It has consistently been Marco’s best-selling topping for years, so we anticipate a huge, positive response from our customers.”
